Hi, Would anyone recommend RISC-V for new designs at this point in its evolution? I understand that its a new ISA and the processors and the ecosystem isn’t entirely mature. My application is an embedded system targeting the wearable market. Any help is appreciated on which IC or board to pick.

You know, I had the same dilemna a while back. While RISC-V is definitely the future, its not here yet. For high performance applications, using experimental SoC’s from sifive or Alibaba might not be a good idea. However MCU is where all the RISC-V game is right now and I think if your application is IOT or other low power/low performance gadget, then surely check out the RISC-V microcontrollers offered by NXP for example.
